The beauty of Golf, like our beloved Fraternity, is that it is filled of traditions. This year GZAGA is instituting a new tradition that we hope will continue in perpetuity. For the first time ever, GZAGA will name a Grand Marshal for our National Tournament.
We will utilize the National Championship to highlight Gammas who have promoted both the Fraternity and our Golf Tournament. GZAGA will use our tournament to highlight a proud fraternal brother who has helped grow the organization, and who has inspired and motivated his fellow brethren.
Our Inaugural Grand Marshal will be Jorge Avila, Alpha Gamma, and Honorary Delta Chapter Brother. Jorge Avila is a husband, father, professional engineer and of course a proud brother of Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
In 1993 George Avila oversaw the pledge process of the Delta Founding Fathers. Through his guidance, mentorship and quiet leadership he helped lay the foundation for the Mighty Delta Chapter; consequently, cementing the growth of Gamma Zeta Alpha in Southern California. (SDSU, Fresno State, UCLA, UCSB, CSLA, UCSD, USC, Cal Poly Pomona)
